Qatar Airways Village is a unique design with an immediately identifiable overall building form, crafted in a self evidently aesthetically satisfying way. The culmination is a design that will powerfully benefit and instantly enhance the international prestige of Qatar Airways. It is a built form that visually and iconically brands the Qatar Airways Village complex . Care has been taken in the design and the layout of the buildings to make it pleasurable for its inhabitants and easy for them to move about in the hot ambient climate of Doha . The intention is to make the Village a welcoming and vibrant place that the residents will look forward to coming home to.
What differentiates the design from others is its ‘deep green’ design and innovative features. This is a design that seeks to be green beyond conventional rating systems such as LEED. The design is integrated with nature, with a constant experience of greenery for its inhabitants, laid out in an ecologically seamless and benign way. The design has a number of sustainable features for a low-energy complex of buildings.
